Nike React promised revolutionary energy return with every step. For the Dubai Mall launch, the brand needed more than a display or demo station. It needed a physical proof — something participants could feel in the moment, capture on camera, and carry out with them.
02 / Idea
Concepted by Unit9, the activation cast each participant as the star of their own video game. The moment runners stepped onto the treadmill, green-screen capture built their personalised digital avatar in real time — then sent it sprinting, jumping, and climbing through an immersive cityscape that mirrored every physical movement.
03 / Execution
PXL+ served as the local production and technology partner, responsible for both the spatial design of the activation environment and the full technical implementation. We engineered the green screen capture pipeline, calibrated the real-time avatar renderer, and built the treadmill-to-digital bridge — tuned for reliable performance across sustained activation hours and a diverse range of participants.

The seamless link between physical effort and on-screen action delivered what no spec sheet could: a lived experience of energy return.
