Nike React promised energy return. PXL+ made it something you could feel. Participants ran on a treadmill, were captured on green screen, and watched their personalised avatar sprint through a real-time digital cityscape — every stride a live proof of the technology.

01 / Challenge
Nike React promised revolutionary energy return in every step. For the Dubai launch, the brand needed more than a demo station or product display. It needed an experience that let participants feel the technology working — something visceral, memorable, and worth sharing.
02 / Idea
Concepted by Unit9, the activation turned each participant into the star of their own video game. As runners stepped onto the treadmill, green-screen capture technology built a personalised digital avatar in real time. That avatar then powered through an immersive cityscape — sprinting, jumping, and climbing in direct response to the runner's physical movement.
03 / Execution
PXL+ led the local implementation — handling on-ground production, technical setup, and system integration across the Dubai activation. The green screen pipeline, real-time avatar renderer, and treadmill-digital bridge were calibrated for reliable performance across sustained activation hours and diverse participant profiles.
04 / Results
The seamless link between physical effort and on-screen action delivered what no spec sheet could: a lived experience of energy return. Participants didn't just learn about Nike React — they became proof of it. The activation generated strong social sharing and positioned Nike React as a technology story worth experiencing firsthand.
